Lloyd H. Hill, GRI,ALC,CRB,MRA,MSA, has been a licensed Realtor since 1959, specializing in the sale of residential properties, farms, and land throughout Missouri.

He initially sold real estate part time during the ten years he served on the Kansas City, MO Police Force, forming his own real estate company in 1966. He joined the KC Board of Realtors in1968 and became the first member of the Board to earn the Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI) designation, the first of many impressive
designations to follow including Accredited Land Consultant (ALC) and Certified Residential Broker (CRB). He was instrumental in getting the South Branch of the Board of Realtors organized, and then served as its first Chairman.

Throughout his distinguished real estate career, Lloyd has repeatedly stepped up to serve in critical leadership positions including multiple terms as a state Director of the Missouri Association of Realtors, VP of the Missouri Chapter of Certified Real Estate Brokers, Treasurer of the Missouri Association of Realtors, and President of the Missouri Chapter of the Farm & Land Institute. Within each of these organizations he frequently served on or chaired local and regional committees too numerous to mention.

His many accomplishments are underscored by awards such as “Realtor of the Year” in Kansas City and “Outstanding Farm & Land Institute Realtor of Missouri.”

In addition to his many professional endeavors, Lloyd has found time for a variety of personal and civic involvements. He currently serves as Sr. Vice Commander for VFW Post 5789 In Lee’s Summit, MO. He has volunteered his energy and expertise to local church programs, municipal boards, the South KC Chamber of Commerce, the
Mid-Continent Library System, and the R-7 School District.

Years ago Lloyd recognized the unique value a professional auction sale can provide to his clients, and added auctions to his list of services and expertise. Prior to joining Cates Auction & Realty Co. as a Land Auction Specialist, Lloyd was a Field
Representative for Hudson & Marshall, a national auction services company. Lloyd is a member of the National Auctioneer’s Association and is frequently heard saying,
“If you think an expert is expensive, wait until you hire an amateur!”
